about

Tribal Dolphusion is a group of musicians based around Byron Bay, Northern NSW, Australia.
This music is unique - by fusing sounds of the ocean (dolphins, orcas and bearded seals) with rhythms of the Earth (drums and didgeridoos) and modern melodic instruments this band produces an alive celebration of ancient/modern music.
Using the ancient Indian chakra system as a foundation (ie from low C key to high B key and drum rhythms based on the number of petals represented in each chakra symbol) this music is a remembrance (re-member-dance) of dolphin songlines.
As the Legend of the Golden Dolphin continues to evolve, this chakra transcendence (transcend-dance) aims to bring awareness about the majestic creatures of our oceans - the cetaceans (whales and dolphins).
It is hoped that in the near future a "Cetacean Nation" will gain representation at the United Nations - giving legal and national recognition to cetaceans.
