. The Lessons Of Trindade (16:55) - This music I originally composed while camping on the beach at Trindade in Brazil, 1979. It is an epic work of three parts, each a teaching of my own personal growth at that time.
Part1 - 'Ahimsa'-sanskrit for non-violence
Part2 - 'Criacao'-Brazilian for creation
Part3 - 'La Temperanza'-Spanish for temperance (card 14 of the Tarot)
However on this album only parts 1 & 3 occur on this 17 minute journey.
The music is very textural and travels through a multitude of moods and instruments.It features beautiful stereo accoustic guitars,dueling electric guitars and ping-pong delayed flutes,whose stereo panning effects can only be fully appreaciated with a set of headphones, fretless bass guitar, piano as well as the multitude of drums and percussion rhythms criss-crossing in 5/4 and 5/8.
