about

Mariliga - means thunder in Aboriginal language.
Sangeet had the idea to begin with the roar of the thunder and the pouring rain with the drone of the didgeridoo appearing out of this. Kavi played the didgeridoo. We composed a basic drum groove and I improvized on fretless bass, next Sangeet improvized the Sitar and Anthony improvized a track of flute. The rest was a true studio-evoled creation, layering and composing around what we'd already recorded with guitars, keyboards, percussion, and drums. It turned out to be a multi-cultural epic of many timbers and moods.
